In Chinese medicine, the Liver is the Yin Organ of Wood. The Gall Bladder is the Yang Organ of Wood. It is associated with creative striving and anger. Over the years, emotions such hatred and rage which cannot be expressed, cleared and turned into a positive striving toward individual goals, may be redirected back into the body and lead to "Wood diseases": diseases in which the main symptoms are joint and muscle pains and an increasing restriction of movement, such as gout, arthritis, rheumatism and chronic polyarthritis.
