Carbon black as a carcinogen
Nature
Carbon black is manufactured for use in rubber products to reduce abrasion and wear, printing inks, phonograph records, protective coatings, carbon paper and batteries. While there is no substantial proof that carbon black is carcinogenic it does cause some diseases of the skin.
