Artificially prolonged childhood

Claim

Induction into adulthood in industrialized countries takes an unnecessarily long time. Childhood is artificially prolonged. People reach full sexual activity, and nearly complete their full growth, long before they are legally permitted to drive a motor vehicle or to vote. They are not allowed to earn money or to decide what they want to do with their time.
