Incidence

In a recent study of victims of torture, nearly 25% of those studied suffered from anxiety or fear even after several years. Many victims suffer depression, nightmares and guilt, and are unable to hold down jobs. Another study indicated 75% of torture victims are subject to post-traumatic stress disorder.
