Self-understanding

Description

Understanding one's self is similar to understanding any other person and requires the same capacity to compare and give coherence to experiences. It requires a continuous appraisal of the meaning behind personal experience and the search for personal metaphors to highlight past experiences and unite them with present activities and hopes for the future.
