Psychotic state

Mental functions are so impaired that insight, contact with reality and ability to deal with life's normal demands are all interfered with. States typical of psychosis are: delusions; hallucinations; loosening of associations and incoherence; catatonic stupor or excitement. Behaviour is very disorganized.
