Physical duality in conscious states (Physical sciences)
Description
Brain-based conscious states express the duality of the physical world in being either caused or affected by states of matter or energy. The duality of consciousness is the awareness of the multiplicity of the phenomenal world, balanced or counterpoised by the potential or realization of consciousness of the unity of all things. Ordinary consciousness is the analogue of matter, unitary consciousness is the analogue of energy.
Context
There are at least five universal principles postulated in the physical sciences: duality; quantum discreteness; relativity; conservation; and least action. Their application to states of consciousness has been presented by Professor Charles Tart and others.
