Parinama (Yoga)

  • Mental transformation
  • Change

Description

In yogic philosophy, all transformation occurs because of change in the balance of the three [gunas]

; mastery of this balance follows the same laws at all levels, so that the ability to control mental and spiritual change is said to extend to control of the physical and thus ability to perform [siddhis]

. The parinamas or modes of mental transformation of yogic tradition arise when the yogi is able to pass into the samadhi state as he wishes.
