Near death transition (NDE)

An apparently intermediate stage between two states of consciousness, experienced as moving rapidly through a dark space or down a tunnel towards a bright light which is comforting and beautiful rather than dazzling.

The third stage in the process referred to as near death experience. The previous two stages are sometimes bypassed.
