Lower middle grade (Taoism)
Description
Practices involve eating and drinking in small or large quantities, abstaining from particular foods, eating filth, abstaining from cooked food, avoiding flavourings, enduring cold, lying on ice with an exposed back, performing strange feats.
Context
In the nine grades of practices which are side tracks and auxiliary methods in Taoism, this is the lowest of the three middle grades.
