Lord-of-death awareness (Buddhism, Tibetan)

This state of awareness is represented as the gateway to hell where the mirror of past deeds and ripening karma must be looked into. The scales are here to try the soul. This state is characterized by judgement.

In Tibetan Sakya Buddhism this is one of the states in the "Ascension Stages Game". In some sets it is numbered 9 on the board.
