Integral meditation

Description

As part of the practice of integral yoga, integral meditation involves the following sequence: (i) active or dynamic offering of the self to the cosmic reality; (ii) in the state of self-offering or self-observation, to explore the self (psychic observation); (iii) this observation eventually activates the energy of the unconscious psyche (sometimes called kundalini, serpent power); (iv) this power has to be judiciously channelled and controlled in purity of heart and involves critical evaluation; (v) direct insight, or existential experience, of the ultimate ground of existence, which brings the experience of unity referred to in various systems as cosmic consciousness, bodhi, satori, samadhi.
