Five kleshas (Yoga, Zen)
Description
The series of five human troubles as given by Patanjali and referred to in Zen literature. These are ignorance, egoism, attachment, revulsion and possessiveness; they are given up in sequence, starting with possessiveness and finally giving up egoism.
