Delirium

This arises in a number of acute organic states. There is a dreamlike consciousness with diminished attention and fragmented conceptual thought. Perception is disturbed, confused with memory images. There may be hallucinations, pseudo hallucinations, delusions, illusions. Toxic poisoning often produces delirium.
