Al-Badi (Sufism)

Description

The believer is aware of Allah as the incomparable originator of creation, needing no design or prior knowledge. All comes from nothing, everything in creation is unique - no two men are the same. Through his attention and curiosity man discovers all that Allah has made - he creates nothing of himself. Rather than thinking one has invented and created things, one should see this discovery as a beginning, a means of receiving the love of Allah in one's heart.

Context

A mode of mystical awareness in the Sufi tradition associated with the ninety-fifth of the ninety-nine names of Allah.
