Systems education

Education concerning systems concepts as evidenced in natural and social systems, emphasizing interrelationships, interrelatedness, and the holistic nature of natural and social processes. The introduction of such interdisciplinary concepts into a curriculum is frequently thought to require a reorganization and integration of the curriculum components to reinforce understanding of the interrelationships discussed. Systems education then blurs into, and is confused with, educational systems just as the teaching of concepts of integrated science is obscured by a focus of methods of integration of science teaching.
