Synchronization
- Entrainment of frequencies
Description
Under certain conditions, the fastest operation (rather than the slowest) in an interlinked process determines the overall rate of the process. The faster operation forces the pace of the slower, whilst the slower operation also has influence on the faster, so that synchronization of the two oscillations is mutual. Thus in dynamic operation the process variables are functioning together at a matching and compatible pace.
