Description
The use of mathematical notation and structures (e.g., formulae) to describe conditions, states, values, relationships, etc in selected phenomena. Experimental mathematical models can be formulated for the behaviour of the human nervous system, for the consumption rates of the world resources, and for species populations in a given environment, for example.
