Mathematical group
Description
1. A mathematical aggregate in which the product of two elements is an element of the group.
2. A non-empty set together with an operation (called multiplication) which associates with each ordered pair of elements in the set a third element also in the set (called their product), in such a manner that certain conditions are satisfied. The theory of groups and sets is an essential part of modern mathematics and logic.
