Lattice theory

Description

A branch of set theory which discusses in precise mathematical terms the relation of different parts of the same whole to each other. Its applications include the study of structure and order. The theory which seems to have had application to the Warsaw Pact defence e-grid lattice and to NATO's and which has other military uses is also helpful in demographic analysis.
