Food chain
Description
Ecological interdependence of species in respect to who eats whom. For example a certain plant is eaten by a certain insect, which is eaten by a certain bird. The food chains stretch from microorganisms to mammals. Certain terrestrial features are also an outcome or are dependent on particular kinds of vegetation; quality, chemically and mechanically, of the soil, etc.
